About Grey College SCR

The Senior Common Room, together with the Middle Common Room (graduate students) and the Junior Common Room (undergraduate students), constitutes Grey College. The Senior Common Room, situated in a pleasant room in the main building of Grey College, provides an attractive and relaxed environment for colleagues to meet and bring visitors.

Members of the SCR are encouraged to attend and become actively involved in various College functions, including:

Formal dinners and guest nights
Student drama and musical productions
The Grey opportunities programme

In addition, the SCR committee organises particular events, which have included:

Cheese and wine with conversation
Trips and visits

Facilities

The room is usually available for members' use at any time. Facilities available in the Common Room include:

Tea and coffee-making facilities
TV (this may occasionally be unavailable for use during the day)

Members are requested to note that this room may be required by the College for use as a conference room out of term time and is also occasionally used by the college student support team. Notices will be posted outside the SCR on these occasions and, where possible, will be notified to members in advance.
